Premier Packaging, a subsidiary of US-based security company Document Security Systems (DSS), has announced a new facility in the Town of Henrietta, New York.
The company said the 105,000ft² facility will help it meet increasing customer demand.
Premier will relocate to the facility from its current operations in Victor, New York, by the end of the year.
Once operational, the new facility will increase the company’s workforce by more than 50%.
Premier president and DSS chief operating officer Jason Grady said: “We are grateful to Empire State Development (ESD), Greater Rochester Enterprise and the New York Power Authority for providing Premier with an opportunity to advance our business.
“As a multinational company, we had several options when considering a new location, but with the help of ESD and New York State, we can continue to call this area home.
“The Upstate New York and Finger Lakes region is an ideal place for us to operate our business, service our customer base and further expand our offerings.”
Premier operations vice-president Bruce Stratton said: “We continue to build on our momentum amidst growing customer demand.
“With greater access to major interstates nearby and a closer proximity to the strong Rochester workforce, the new manufacturing operation is well-suited to support our aggressive growth plans.”
Premier received up to $700,000 in Excelsior tax credits from ESD in exchange for commitments to generate jobs.
Monroe County and Greater Rochester Enterprise also provided the company with assistance commitments.
Premier provides security solutions for printing and packaging serving customers in the direct marketing, medical device, consumer goods, photo marketing and food industries.
